The founding principle of the Scientific Research Department is bringing together health professionals (scientists, doctors, nurses, lab technicians, others) who are interested, not only in the mechanisms of disease, but also in perfecting healthcare protocols to approach important medical issues in underdeveloped and in developing countries.

Research can be conducted in several medical fields but  with main focus in blood biotechnology engineering and bio-regeneration,  a relevant field to treatment of non-healing wounds and also to promote acceptance of osteogenic and fixation materials  (orthopaedic materials).

The main approach focuses on enlisting the body to fight infections and/or wounds potentiating autogenous platelet growth factors.

Other areas include evaluation of new oral and maxillofacial products and techniques for worldwide implementation.

For our continuous work and research since 2002, we are the recipient of 10 international awards in the medical fields of wound management, orthopaedics, dental materials and oral surgery. These awards include the Robert Davies Award (2002) and the Biotechnology Institute Europe Accéssit (2008).
